When GAA fans take a look at some of the top players in their code, the majority of them would have played in the Féile competition.
This year's Féile na nGael has promised to be one of the biggest in recent years. In its 42nd year, this annual tournament comprises the sports of hurling, camogie and GAA Handball organised by the GAA .
Its aim is for communities to bond together and for parents, mentors and players to create friendships all through the game they have passion for. This year Dublin GAA is delighted to be the county to host this exciting event.
Over 25,000 children take part in Féile competitions thoughout the country culminating in 5,000 taking part in the finals in Dublin on 5th, 6th, 7th July. These players will be representing their clubs in one of the top underage hurling, camogie and handball events of the year.
Féile na nGael was last hosted in the capital back in 1982/83 so this years tournament is promising to be a spectacular event with players from the past and present showing their faces.
