There were wins for Clare, Limerick and Wicklow in Allianz Football League Division IV on Sunday.
In a highly charged game at Cusack Park in Ennis, Waterford had three men sent off in their 1-17 to 0-12 defeat to Clare.
Having raced into an early 0-4 to 0-0 lead, Clare were 0-9 to 0-6 ahead at the break before Rory Donnelly hit the back of the net for the only goal of the game in the second half.
At Freshford, Wicklow enjoyed a massive 30-point win over Kilkenny, with all of the Garden County’s goals coming in the first half.
Joey Kelly and Seánie Furlong were among the goals as Wicklow powered into a 3-11 to 1-1 lead at the break.
It was a much closer game at Carrick-on-Shannon, where Ian Ryan’s goal was the difference between Limerick and Leitrim.
