In the ESB GAA Hurling All-Ireland Minor decider, Kilkenny face Clare in what should be a fascinating curtain raiser to the day's main event. 

On semi-final form the Leinster champions would have to be considered overwhelming favourites with many of the more experienced observers at Croke Park last month suggesting that the manner of their victory over reigning All-Ireland champions Galway was the most impressive display by an U18 side seen at Headquarters for many years.

The winning margin of 19 points says it all and on each outing this season the scale of their success has been in double digits.
