Munster Senior Football Championship Quarter-Final

Tipperary v Waterford, Semple Stadium, 7pm

Waterford's last Championship success over Tipperary was achieved back in 1988 and in the intervening years the Premier County have beaten the Deise on eight occasions.

A Munster semi-final against Cork is the prize for whoever prevails in Thurles.

At this stage last year Waterford came within a whisker of causing a massive shock against Cork, who just about survived a real scare.

That means Liam Kearns' charges are well warned that Tom McGlinchey's hard working Waterford can be tricky opponents when in the groove.
