Dublin, Kildare, Meath, and Louth have all advanced to the Semi-Finals of the Bord Na Mona O’Byrne Cup.

Next weekend Kildare host Dublin, while Andy McEntee’s improving Meath play Louth, who topped Group 4.

In Enniscorthy a developmental Dublin team, managed by Paul Clarke, shaded a tight match with Seamus McEnaney’s Wexford.

Joey Wadding (Wexford) and Conor McHugh (Dublin) traded goals, but the visitors’ with Paul Hudson impressing claimed victory and DCU’s triumph over UCD ensured Clarke’s charges qualified for the penultimate round.

Kildare’s posted a third convincing win in a week defeating Offaly at O’Connor Park in Tullamore.

Niall Kelly and Eoin Doyle bagged opening period goals for Kildare before Tommy Moolick added an insurance third in the second half.

Longford and IT Carlow were involved in a goal laden encounter at Glennon Brothers Pearse Park with the midlanders emerging eight point victors.

Meath’s draw in Stradbally on Saturday evening was enough to steer the Royals into the next round, but the last match in Group 3 culminated in a DIT win against Wicklow.

Despite a brave and battling Carlow display at Dowdallshill, Louth were still able to eke out a third victory in Group 4.

Conal McKeever, Anthony Williams, and Gerard McSorley netted goals for Louth, who will now face neighbours Meath. John Heslin’s 1-11 haul guided Westmeath past Maynooth University in Athlone.
