After another action-packed summer the Top Scorers from both the Football and Hurling Championships have now been confirmed. It is no surprise that the top scorers from both codes come from the championship winners in their grade.
In the Football championship, Colm Mc Fadden of Donegal saw off some stiff competition to finish as top scorer with an impressive tally of 4-32 (44). Colm was the key score getter for Donegal throughout the championship and relished this role, scoring 1-4 in this year's decider against Mayo.
In the Hurling championship, Henry Shefflin once again reigned supreme with a massive tally of 3-56 (65). Henry helped Kilkenny to their 34th senior championship victory and was once again their marquee scoring forward. After keeping his team in the drawn first final, Henry kept the momentum going and inspired Kilkenny to an 11 point victory over Galway in the replayed final, with a personal tally of 0-9.
